Bernd,
Brett's symptoms are occasional sputtering and/or stalling while under way
with a temporary inability to restart. Give it several minutes, and it will
restart.
It sounded similar to a failing coil. That was changed, same issue.
I have helped Brett thru this as best I could along with a local 5 Star. He
originally had codes for O2 and EGR. Those were changed, the condition
continued.

The CPS has been changed out, the distributor pickup plate changed as well.
Mark Kuzia had suggested a bad splice in the power to PCM, fuel pump
circuit. That was checked, and came up clean.
The truck has had a recent tuneup plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
The only thing I can think of that remains is the PCM. BUT these are
usually good or bad, not intermittent.
The truck in question is an 94 5.2 Auto CC.

got the distributor plate in, and still having the same probs with my
Dak.
I'm getting pretty tired of this!
Next on the list is the IAC motor. Hopefully will tackle that myself
tomorrow. After that, I have no idea what to do other than the PCM.
I'm starting to sing that old song by Johnny Cash called "One piece at a
time"....
