Wes,

As long as they are OBD-II compliant and CARB approved for use on OBD-II
vehicles (CarSound is)...it's legal.

Subject: DML: Smog Legal aftermarket Cats (california)

Ok,

This month I gotta get my truck smogged, AND it seems like I might have
just had my cat go bad.... I have a sort of rattling sound which sounds
something like bb's floating around some place... And my truck is *WAY*
quieter than its been in a long long long time.

Apparently I had a highflow aftermarket cat instlaled shortly after I
bought it... And that is a big no-no if I am trying to smog my truck. I
was wondering if the ONLY thing that's legal is OEM cat, or if there was
a legal aftermarket cat that flows a little better than stock.

Thanks in advance

Wes
