Code 51 translation please.

DMLers,

I got a check engine light and a code 51 yesterday. I think that the
engine stumbled for a little while then cleared up. Didn't see if after I
retrieved codes and I haven't seen it today.

the trouble code description reads :
"A lean air/fuel mixture has been indicated by an abnormally rich
correction factor."

What would cause that ?
