Your possible problem(s):

1) Junction block fuse #12

2) Open fused B(+) circuit

3) MIC ground circuit open

4) CCD bus (+) open to MIC

5) CCD bus (-) open to MIC

6) CCD bus (+)/(-) circuit shorted to ground

7) MIC (Instrument Cluster)

Subject: DML: Dash gone nuts - no bus? Need help fast!

Was just driving home from the movies and my dash went nuts. I don't
know what's going on. Haven't checked my FSM yet because I want to get
this written down before I forget anything.

'99 318 4x4 auto w/ 50K on the clock.

Went to the movies and left a cell phone plugged in and charging. Done
it before, haven't had any problems. Started the truck and the gas
gauge didn't come up. ABS and Air Bag lights stayed on, and a chime
rang. I shut down and fired it up, and everything was OK.

Got a little ways down the road and the ABS and Air Bag lights came back
on, and the chime. Then all was well again.

A little further along, the odometer started flashing, then read "no
bus". ALL gauges went dead, and the ABS, Air Bag, and Low Gas light
came on. Chimes again. Then it recovered.

And then it was dead again. And stayed dead the rest of the way home.
 Overdrive doesn't respond either.

I got home and shut down. Held the odometer button in while turning the
key to ON to check for codes. I got CheC then the following codes: 900,
920, 921, 940, 950, 999

Engine started right up after that, but again, Air Bag and ABS stayed lit.

Where do I start? I'm thinking about resetting the PCM in the morning
to see if that will help, or at least clear the codes. But right now I
don't get a warm fuzzy about the truck going any kind of distance - and
I'm supposed to help a friend move tomorrow!
