  Marty,

  I have a Checkmate on my '96. Its a decent cover - it seems well
constructed. Mine leaks a bit, but that is probably because I had to
order it narrower than usual so that it would fit between the rails
on my bed. If you get the standard size, I don't think the leaking
would be as much of an issue. I haven't had any problems with mine in
the 3-4 years that I've had it.

  The only real complaint I have is that the top fiberglass surface
wasn't very smooth - it needed a lot of prep, several coats of primer
and still has some fish eyes in it.

  The Checkmate doesn't lock like some of them do (ARE, etc), so if
you want to lock up your bed, you'll need to install a tailgate lock.
All in all, its a very good cover for the money, IMHO.
