Someone wrote on here about doing a recent filter and
fluid change. I also have a 99 V6 that I just did
this too and got the same symptoms as you afterward.
When turning a corner, be it left or right the engine
would race briefly and then the truck would move
forward. Even though I checked the fluid level in the
driveway and cycled the gears like the FSM states and
the fluid level was fine at that time I later drove it
for 20 minutes and re checked and I was now low 1
quart. I added a quart and this problem seems to have
disappeared.
Have no idea what the cause, guessing maybe some fluid
drained from the torque converter that shouldn't have?
