Changing your front brakes from disc to drum won't change the frequency of
maintenance. The front brakes provide most of the stopping power and deals
with the majority of the weight of the vehicle when stopping. That's why
maintenance is required on the front way more than the rear. You'll only
reduce your stopping power by changing to drums.

This might possibly be the dumbest question posted, but is it possible to
switch the front brakes from disc to drum? I hate changing my pads & rotors
every year, meanwhile the drums on the rear havent given me a problem.
