Subject: DML: CB antenna mount

Sorry, last post for the evening.

Remember, I was asking all those questions about the CB mount, and where
to
place the antenna?

Well..

It's not quietly residing between the seats mounted on the back wall.
(Standard cab) Mic handy, and speaker near my good ear, out of the way,
yet
easy to change the controls on it. I mounted it with the CB hangar (It
JUST
fits) behind the armrest/console thing.

The antenna bracket on the other hand, imagine this from the top. a "V"
only at the open of the "v" there is a straight line. The antenna will
go
in the Apex of the "V", to support it, there is a down bracket (now from
the
side)... Imagine an "L" turned clockwise once, then draw a line between
the
ends, the V sits on top. (I know it's hard to follow, but stay with me,
pictures are coming)

the top of the "v" screws into the bed, right behind the window with the
"v"
pointing towards the tailgate.... I had to cut an "x" in the tonneau
cover
where the base of the antenna screws in, but Oh well. My brother welded
the
bracket from scratch, and if anyone is interested in the measurements or
plans for this bracket, just email me, and I'll figure em up for ya'll.

I had to insulate the bottom of the antenna from the metal steel
bracket,
but it's working great...

Joel
