I am always getting a static shock when I touch my 98 to close it after
getting out. The only remedy, I find that works to avoid the shock, is to
make contact with the door quickly. Pretty much like slapping it.

My question is why all the sudden is static a problem. I have noticed that
almost every time I get out of my truck I get a static shock. Sometimes in
the winter it'll make you jump. I have heard several others with the same
situation. What has changed in the newer trucks to cause this?
