I have an aftermarket radiator, so fab work was required. I mounted
hardware included a pair of the rubber factory radiator isolator grommets
that are at the top of the Gen III radiators (about $2 ea from the dealer),
and 4 of the thru radiator zip ties for an aftermarket tranny cooler (about
$6 at the local parts store). I took the isolators, pulled the inner metal
piece, cut them in half to get 2 1/2 inch thick donuts from the 1 inch it
started with. then sandwich as follws from the back, shroud, rubber donut,
radiator, zip tie end cap. Do either the bottoms at the same time, snug
them, then do the tops, resnug the ties, and clip the extra length off the
zip tie.
This gave me the necessary clearance I needed between the front of the fan
motor, and the radiator core. IF you don't need the extra clearance, you
won't need the rubber pieces.
