I've seen the slotted sockets before (the slot being for
the wire) but I've never used one, so I can't comment on
the offset socket. I don't recall if I have ever replaced
a GenIII upstream O2 sensor, so there may be some clearance
issues involved, but all the O2 sensors I've ever swapped
out, I just used an open end wrench. (Just replaced the
Dak's stock upstream sensor a couple of days ago, actually.)
You may have to put some muscle behind it after you figure a
way to get the wrench on - they can get stuck in there pretty
good. :-)
