Well I've gone and done it now, I have to sell my '96 Dakota, so I am
leaving the GenII ranks. But I'm not going too far, I am just joining the
GenIII ranks. I just purchased a 2K CC SLT 2wd, 3.9L auto, Amber Glow
Pearlcoat. She is a beautiful truck w/only 19k miles and I can definitely
use the room and enjoy the auto.(getting lazy in my old age, & easier on a
bad shoulder!) She has plenty of options and already has the 15x8 rims w/
the P255/65's. I am going to miss the sound of the flowmaster and the fun of
the 5speed though. And my boy is a little perturbed since he was wanting the
'96, but I have to sell it to help pay for the 2k. But he does like the 2k
better also, and as the warranty goes away, the mods will come along! The
K&N filter, Cat-back, and 5speed do make a difference on the mileage though,
so far with just in town driving the 2k hasn't been doing very well!!
