My rod bearings were in good shape (surprisingly after all the abuse I
put the motor through over the years) but the V6 block is the weak link
(they're prone to cracking at the #2 cylinder/upper head bolt). If
you're running a 25-35HP shot as "intercooling" for the S/C,
2100-2200RPM is ok...but definitely no lower than 2500rpm with a 75HP or
100HP shot (40-60HP was a "gray area" as it's not quite enough to do any
more harm but yet more "instant HP" than
cam/heads/intake/exhaust/tb/rockers which does put a bit more stress on
the engine).
