Tony,
Daks put on a lot of weight between '96 and '97. The GenIIIs are
sonsiderably heavier than GenIIs for any given body style and drivetrain.
4x4 adds 200 pounds or more, losing 2 cylinders will drop maybe 100 I'd
guess. Add in the GenIII bloat factor. Though I'll say 3800 even for a
GenII 4x4 V6 sounds a litle light...must have been low on gas :)
