I've been pondering my wheel and tire choices lately, and am currently
leaning towards something like 245/60 15s in the front with 295/50 15s
in the rear. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with a
295 series tire on a 15x8" rim?
Basically what I am looking to do is to slap a set of GenIII 15x8
rims on my GenII, with the above tire sizes. (I realize I'll need
spacers for the rims.)
Or, another option would be a set of R/T rims (17x9 I think?) I
thought it might be safer to run a 295 on a wider rim, however, I cannot
find a 295 or wider series tire in a 17" rim size. If anyone has run
295s on the R/T rims I would be interested to hear what tires you used.
Thanks!!
