Subject: DML: removed MSD truck running better

Hey all,

I finally got around to removing the MSD digital 6+ ignition module
yesterday, Ialso cleaned out the IAC solenoid. The truck is running much
better. Not that I think the MSD ignition module was the prob, actually I
think it was the coil (which I also replaced). The truck smokes the tires on
demand now. I had originally put the digital 6+ ignition in because I was
going to run a superchargerand the module had a 2 stage retard and 2 rev
limiters (1 switched and 1 constant), I decided on a stroker instead so I
didnt need the features. I pulled it because I didn't want to have to wonder
if it was part of the problem whenever I was troubleshooting something. If
anyone wants the module I'll give if up if you pay for shipping (its about 2
years old). The only problem I had with it was that the constant rev limiter
got stuck on 2400rpm one winter, I turned it off (by setting the limiter to
0
rpm's) and she ran fine.
