Could be a bad pump but also, what is the part # of your pump? Our trucks
have engine assemblies where the pump goes in reverse rotation. If you have
a standard rotation pump and your belt is on correctly then your pump is
rotating the wrong way which means very little cooling. No bueno! I don't
believe that the belt will fit incorrectly but some people manage. Check
that the belt is on the inside of the water pump pulley, in other words,
it's the smooth side of the belt against the pulley. If it ain't like that
you has a problem! :-(

That is high Alex. I prefer 50-60k miles to change out mine, just did
them but also put on a new water pump, a Flowkooler now too. I must say
though, the Flowkooler actually makes my engine run hotter, not cooler
as it is advertised.

I was wondering how often you guys change out your radiator hoses? I've
got
67k miles on her and though the hoses look fine, I was thinking of
changing
them. I just hate dealing with anti-freeze and the mess it makes and
having
to dispose of it. I got a quotes of around $175 from a couple of local
shops. Seems high considering the parts are about $50 and the labor is
simple.
