Humph, maybe the dealers for it here are just getting rid of old stock.
The one a saw that the dealer a couple of weeks ago had the plastic
canister with the plastic cover. I know when I had mine the canister
warped a little from the weight of itself and the cover faded no matter
what you did to it. The vinyl on the cover also faded and the rails
faded and I had to repaint them. I always used 303 on the vinyl and the
stuff from Mother's on the metal trim to try and keep them from fading.
Also, the rubber gaskets to keep the bed dry wore out very quickly. I
just wasn't impressed for the price. I have had the roll-n-lock for
almost 2 years now and it still looks like brand new. Much beefier
design.

nope I saw the ram version on a TV show. it was full metal. they even
bragged about it being all metal...some where down the line I think they
keep changing things but they need an entire redesign and use of better
quality parts...
