I can't speak for other brands of headers but as far as the Doug
Thorley/Mopar headers, I have dyno sheets to prove they

At the time the only mods were; Flowmaster cat back,
PCM, open element 14" K&N, and a 180 t-stat. This was
on my 318. I think it's all in the design of the
header.
