The reason why I think Dodge put that plate on is to protect the bottem of
our engines. Also to keep the engine bay alot cleaner. plus to keep out
your neighbours cat from sleeping in your engine bay. As for changing the
oil I use a 2L pop bottle cut in half this works great in taking off the oil
filter..
