2003 Neon SRT-4 versus the 2003 Honda Civic Si

I had to laugh seeing both gearing specs (Dodge publish site) and noticed
that Honda again raised the front axle gears to now a 4:43.1 ratio vice the
new Neon SRT-4's 3:53.1 front axle gear. Why the smaller gear for Honda?
The car has no torque and power to get it going. Even the Honda S2000
cannot be turbocharged beyond 3lbs, due to the high-compression and high-end
RPM factor. Not much room to play with. It seems that Honda is losing the
edge in the pushing the enveloped when it comes to HP and TQ factor.

I hate to say this, but thanks to the new DaimlerChrysler, Diezter's PVO
group, the car and trucks will not need the dragster gears just to publish
some good 0-60 times or 1/4 miles specs while losing top end MPH. Even the
new Viper comparo with the S7 or other European super sports cars, that
require the overly hype out gearing to get it in the low 3s for the 0-60
run.
