For what its worth, the v-8's have a much better life span than the v-6 due
primarily to the fact that they dont have to work as hard for the same
results when driving. On high milage ones (150,000+) you may want to have the
timing chain replaced, if it hasn't been already. Of course the v-6 timing
chains are famous for going alot quicker (like 80,000-100,00 miles) there is
a tensioner modification that will help the problem but not cure it
completely.
