My suggestion with the wallpaper stripping is to call a reputable paint store
such as Porter Paints and tell them of your delima. We just finished using
this same product at our house to strip the wallpaper in our bathroom and
there was no damage to the paint. The problem may have been that whoever put
the wallpaper on in the first place did not apply a "sizing" to the walls and
therefore the wallpaper adhesive seeped into the paint and the actual wall
itself. You may find that if you leave it alone for a couple of days and let
it dry out good that it may help, but I would call a paint store and ask for
help. Whatever you do, don't pull anymore of the paint off of the wall!!!!!!
