Were you using the same ground each time??
If not check the ground. If so check your connections/crimps on the 8gauge.

ok, a little explanation. I have an additional (painless wiring) fuse block
in the interior of my truck. I planned on tapping all my new electrical
toys into this location for ease and cleanliness. I have an 8 gauge wire
from the battery to the fuse block (with a fuse of coarse). now when I
tried powering my sirens (2) through the new block they are very weak
sounding. If I power it directly off of the battery they are full sounding.
any idea why I'm getting such weak power from the new block.
