Because this only happens once or twice a month, your Hyundai or Yugi
theory deserves some consideration... :-) When it does do it though,
it's pretty bad and the whole truck kinda "jumps" to the left (I think
it's always to the left but I'm not positive).

Thanks for the advice --I'll start poking around ASAP.

I'd check the rear view mirror to see if you ran over a Hyundai or a
Yugo or
something. Seriously though, I would pull off all four wheels and
check your
suspension. I would pull the rear end cover and look at your gears.
I'd get
under the truck and look for anything loose. And if you have any
doubts,
take it to a shop you trust that has a lift and let them do a once over.
