I just did this on my 95. It had the same symtoms as yours and I just took
out the starter and took it to a starter/alternater repair place and in 15
min the guy replaced some bushings or something and gave it back. Works
great.

I looked at a new one, way too much $$! I checked PepBoys/NAPA/AutoZone etc
and they wanted around $65-$80 for a re-built one, the starter/alternater
repair place was in the phone book and only cost me $45.
