Too damn much. $400 for the arm + $200 for the labor.
Dealer had me by the stones and he knew it.

The thing that pisses me off the most is I'm very careful in what I attempt
myself and I know what my limitations are with the tools and skills I have.
I had the brakes done a few months ago. I read up in the service manual on
brakes, searched the archives here, and made the judgement that I didn't
want to get involved with taking the brakes apart. Like everyone else here,
it's my baby, I take good care of it, and I don't like other people *%&(%
with it. There's no good reason why that bolt should have broken.

Hey, Roger,
<snip> I just had to have the lower control arm replaced for the same
reason; they
were afraid of damaging the threads if they drilled the bolt out.....<snip>
How much was the arm? How much for labor? I had the driver's side bolt back
out of the lower control arm & I loctited the threads when I retorqued it.
'Course THEN the damn thing broke & I hadda drill out the old one & REALLY
mahtzoed the threads. I drilled them COMPLETELY out & installed a 1/2-13UNC
bolt with a nut on it.
I know I'm gonna have problems - if and when - I change out the ProComps &
go with Tockico's.
