   I remember that when Bill Tierney ('93 318 w/JBA headers) was
idling outside the track one night (as we were waiting for a flatbed
to come pick up my truck), his headers started to glow a dull red.
I don't think its a problem if it only happens after you've been
sitting a while, but if it happens right away it sounds like they
might be getting too hot. How is your air/fuel ratio at idle?
(might be lean)
