Actually, that's not true. There are a lot of articles on oil filters. Of
course, a lot of these are by oil filter manufacturers and you have to take
them with a grain of salt. However, there are others that try to give an
unbiased opinion except what they found in their research. One such site

Blackstone Labs is what a lot of DML'ers use.

If you don't believe me you should read some of the analyses. I only use
Mobil-1 oil and K&N oil filters in my vehicles. You can take off my valve
covers or my heads and things will look brand new. I'm not the easiest guy
on my engines so I depend on good lubrication to eliminate as much friction
as possible. YMMV.

I've never seen anything in the literature that requires or even

synthetic oil. No doubt the fine print on the back of a Mobil One can would
advise that a Mobil brand filter be used (if there is such a

about 15yrs ago). I don't know which big name company makes filters for
Chrysler/MoPar but I've always used MoPar filters, Mobil One 10-30 and
change
@ 3k intervals. I noticed a one mile per gal increase in fuel economy on
tank fulls done in continuous freeway driving, no change in traffic
driving.
The parts guy at my dealer gives me -30% off list if I buy 3 or more MoPar
filters at a time.
