By telling you a general condition of the product the seller gave you what
the legal field refers to as an "implied warranty" which means the product
should meet the descricption and you are entitled to a refund (in this case
not to pay) if it doesn't. Of course you'd have to return the item.
Personally I would email the seller and see if he'd be willing to knock off
the cost of rebuilding the unit.
