RE: Towing info?

Ed -

Is your truck a 4x4 or 4x2? How often do you tow the trailer? How far?
Have you done any mods to help with the weight - shocks, tires, etc...

I am thinking about a self contained trailer, but that type of weight at
highway speed for any length of time worries me. Not so much for the
engine, I'm fairly certain it can handle it, I'm more concerned about
brakes, etc.

Thanks,

Hey Ray,

I tow a 30' travel trailer with my 2000 QC with 4.7.
The trailer is about 4200 lbs empty. I haven't any
real problems. It does like to sway a little but that
is mostly when passing/being passed by 18 wheelers at
70 mph. I do agree with ya about the weight issue
though.
