My question. It is all too willing to spin one tire leaving every stop
light

Dan,

I see you have made an excellent choice in model year, engine, transmission,
cab style and drive train.
If you still have the factory "Badyears", installing a limited slip will
allow your truck to be all too willing to spin BOTH tires leaving every stop
light when dealing with wet pavement. This doesn't mean that they are a bad
idea.
Under certain conditions, a limited-slip is preferable in snow and
indispensable when four-wheeling.
>From what I've read and heard about, they are all good but have different
strong points. The Detroit locker will be the most unforgiving. There will
be "ratcheting" noises when cornering on dry pavement but it will probably
hold up longer.
