My 99 V-6 just had its belt go bad. Last couple
grooves closest to the radiatior went out. As far as
your problem make sure your tensioner is tightened.
You check it on the left side (as your facing it)
there is a groove cast into the body and then there is
an arrow pointer on the back side of that. Make sure
the groove is within 3mm's in either direction of that
arrow point.
