The "I figure you can get it any way you want" line reminds me of the Henry
Ford line "You can get it in any color, as long as it's black". The
difference is at least Henry knew what he was talking about. Chances are,
just like today, there will be specific engine/tranny combos.

I wonder why they aren't putting the manual tranny in the 1500 with the 5.7
Hemi? I would think there is enough room to mount the tranny they're using
on the 2500's...

Last weekend the saleslime at the dealer told me the '04 will have the
5.7 HEMI. When I asked if you could get that w/ a stick and 4WD, he
said "I figure you can get it any way you want" but I'm thinking it'll
be more like the 5.9 replacement for the QC and R/T w/ auto tranny.

'course this guy was also quoting me at least 3K over invoice for a QC.
