I also have a map program. Microsoft Streets and Trips 2002 with updated
construction information. The shortest drive I found that bypasses Detroit
and Chicago is 34 hours 1 minute. If you have the cities you will be
coming from/going to as well as how long each day you want to drive. I can
get a turn by turn map with pictures showing each direction change as well
as times of where you might plan to stop at night.
P.S. A 5 page printout in PDF format is about 1.8mb that I can e-mail you.
