Yea, I agree that enough muscle cars including Charger's
have been damaged and destroyed for the sake of a hollywood film or tv
series.
They used more than one Charger in that movie, one was a very nice '70 model
with a 426 HEMI with a 8-71
ROOTS type 871 supercharger, that was set-up for strip action.
The second was a '70 model with a 440 that had the mock-up blower attached
to the hood by setting it on top and securing with bolts from the underside
for visual effect.......Hell the belt on the drive didn't even work, it was
fake too!!
on a side note that Charger could be fixed with a little work on the
uni-body and a k-frame and suspension replacement........the exterior body
damage wasn't that bad and could be repaired by traditional metal finishing
and dolly and hammer work.
The rollcage in that Charger actually saved it from being destroyed, because
the cage reinforced the roof and windshield.
I just wonder where that car is now..........LOL
