On mine 92 it was 60,000... right when they recommend replacing the oxygen
sensor.

I am going to use a friend's Scan tool tomorrow (autoXray) and use the "EMR
reset" function, which does exactly this - turns the damn light off. (note
that EMR reset is a separate option from "Clear Trouble Codes").

Last week, when fooling around with the scan tool I also found out that they
(at least AutoXray) gives EXCELLENT support in helping you figure out what
is wrong with your car even when there are no trouble codes coming up...
really knowlegeable people that you get to talk to, for free, with less than
3 minutes on hold every time you call.
