I'm having a problem with my heater on my 98. For the life of me I cant get
heat in the cab

Gary,

So far you have gotten some pretty good advice from Jon. The next thing to
check is the heater hose under the hood.
If they are hot on supply and return, then the problem is probably in the
dampers. If the dampers aren't moving with the selector knobs, you may be
stuck on cold temperature. Gone are the days of controlling the water volume
through the core with the hot/cold control. Now the core gets full flow all
the time and the temperature is varied by directing air through or around
the core.
Just out of curiosity, what did the dealer do to the core, repair or
replace? What was wrong with it to begin with?
Possibly it's plugged with coolant system deposits. Did they put any
"stop-leak" in the system?
