If the temp guage moves off of the cold mark at all there should be heat.
My 99 makes some warm air even before the guage starts to move and at normal
operating temp which is about 1/3 scale with my 180 thermostat I get all the
heat I can stand. I see no need iven in Canada to use a hotter than 180 to
make good heat. 195 thermostats sre only to reduce emissions. Until smog
rules came out NO cars had more than a 180 degree thermostat and many used a
160. I know, I have worked for a radiator shop since 1974.
