actually... i had to stand up to a teacher in high school once who trashed
Dec. 7. she was a "pacifist" and didn't agree with war. the school made an
announcement (which went largely ignored in my school... for several
reasons), which the teacher ridiculed. i've been to Pearl Harbor, and
although i'm only 22, it was very impressive to see what remains.

I would think 9/11/2001 would have rekindled thoughts about 12/07/1941. Also I was brought up by parents that were from that "time", Dad served in W.W.II. Also When I was a kid many of the teachers were also from that "time" So we knew about history from the time frame. Just like my kids have teachers that served in Vietnam and the Gulf War. I think I'm making sense here?
