I put on Hellwig helper springs to level my '95. Mine are two piece and
mount above the leaf springs. Got them from a local 4 wheel performance
shop, they are very adjustable. Fiberglass topper weighed down the rear
and it needed a raise.
When towing with a weight distributing hitch the whole rig can be made
level no matter how I load it. After messing with the setup for a few
years I read the travel trailer manual which said the hitch ball needs to
be 18 1/2" high for my model - now that I know that, it's easy to get
things adjusted. I tow a 24' Jayco lite Hawk a few weeks out of the year.
I did order the truck with heavy duty springs and towing package. Did load
the bed with 3000# of gravel by mistake once and it rode low but moved it.
