You could very well be right. I know on the '01 I had there was nothing
in the manual about setting up this for working or not. But then again,
nothing in the manual was even remotely right when it came to the
programming features. Not even the garage door opener buttons.

My 99 came with the auto-lock enabled, and I have heard that for some
model years a key on/off sequence can toggle the feature.
