ATF+3 in transfer case?

The FSM for my '92 Ram calls for 6 pints of "MOPAR ATF PLUS or an
equivalent Dextron II ATF" for my transfer case. Does that mean then
that I should use ATF+3? What is everyone else using? (The x-fer
case in question is an NP241.)

On a related note, the rear seal of the case seems to be leaking.
Anybody have any experience in regards to what it would take to
repair this?
