The PCV valve will make a "buzzing" noise (when it's clean). Higher
vacuum generates a much more pronounced "buzz". Lower vacuum
(acceleration) creates a quieter "buzz" until you're close to 0" vacuum
(then it shuts via the internal spring).

Speaking of ticking. Starting my truck cold in the morning or
re-starting after 10min turned off, I get ticking noise from what I am
guessing is the PVC valve. Sounds like the metal cylinder in the PVC
valve is being shot back and forth with lots of force. The harder I
accelerate the noiser it gets. After 5min of driveing the noise goes
away. Yes, Already replaced the PVC and still does the same.
