Wrong. Re-read my post. The limit is the *maximum* speed. The minimum
is typically 15 MPH lower than that. Doing any speed in that range is
*not* illegal. Impeding traffic is illegal. Doing 55 in a 65 is not
impeding traffic, especially since all interstates (since we're using
that as the example here) have multiple lanes and permit passing.

There are plenty of good reasons to do less than the speed limit.
Including weather. All speed limits are posted with the (often
un-written on the road, but in the lawbooks) provisio of "conditions
permitting." Wednesday I was doing 35 on the interstate because faster
was dangerous. Then there were a few jackasses trying to do 65 because
"well, it's the limit so I'm allowed".

I suggest you go back to driving school. The speed limit is not a black
and white issue of "you must do exactly this speed."

Yes it is. You'll piss people off, and might get a cop pulling you over
to give you a warning, but it's still legal. But don't come crying to
me when you get run over.
