If you are now replacing the post connectors Pepboys has the gold plated
version for 3.95 each. I never had problems with these.

Dude, I'm gonna sound like a retard, but check the battery cables at the
posts. I had the same problem with my 98. The truck wouldnt start, but the
accessories were working. It turned out to be a loose connector on the neg
post.
