I think the R/T Club and Bernd question that when they first release it and
they seemed to either crack or stud stripping and had a remedy for it.

Subject: DML: K&N Gen II problem
Has anyone else had trouble with this thing? From the day I got mine I was
always suspicious about how well it sealed to the throttle body (on the
driver side of the airhat), so being paranoid as I am, I overtightened the
nut and have stripped out the stud on more than one occasion.
I think part of the problem is that there is too much weight for that one
nut/stud on the airhat to support. The included support for the air tube
just doesn't cut it, in my opinion.
I finally had to put the factory setup back on because I'm tired of worrying
about it. I just can't understand why K&N didn't design their friggin'
airhat to bolt to the friggin' factory stud!
Any suggestions?
Russ
