Yep the wire pulls the indicator mount into position and if you pull on it
too much you can knock the needle out of position. IF I remember right the
indicator needle can just be slid on its mount back into position.
To do so just remove the dash panel, then remove the plastic lense over the
guage cluster and push indicator needle into place.
