White lithium grease always seems to work well for me. Or you could probably
use a plain (read: el cheapo, not the fancy dancy high $$ stuff) wheel
bearing grease. Mostly you want something that will cling to the area and
coat the roller in a thin layer. You might also try to work it in around the
pin that holds the roller in place. That is mostly where the squeak comes
from. HTH
