No offense, but unless your building a nostalgia street rod, solid front
axles are not the way to go. If you look at go karts, only the cheap ones
use solid front axles. For sand rails, the only people who use them are the
ones who are 1. required by sanctioning bodies, 2. use them because they
have them (cheap). I drove a friends sand rail that used a VW donor solid
front axle. What a brick. You'll hate it.
